ProTaper Carbon bars feature PFL (Plastic Foam Lamination) manufacturing. PFL utilizes tiny particles and steam pressure in the lamination process to expand and the structure of the bars.
As a result, ProTaper carbon bars have a consistent material density. The process uses less excess resin and fewer plys, resulting in a 15% lighter bar.”
Ergonomic Shape
The shape of a handlebar plays quite a big role when it comes to the proper seating position on a bike. ProTaper MTB handlebars come with an 8° back sweep and 4° upsweep that actively supports a proper riding position and minimizes the risk of numb fingers.
